Spectators at Saturday's league battle between the Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) and the host Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA), saw Girard's baseball squad knock off Northwestern by a count of 12-2.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets play the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 battle, on Monday, May 2. Girard will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 7-4 record after their 20-13 non-league win over Grove City (Grove City, PA).
