Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH), 5-4 in a non-league battle.

The Johnnies now have a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Buckeye Valley for a Region 7 battle on Monday, May 2. Johnstown-Monroe will clash with a Barons squad coming off a 20-3 league loss to John Glenn (New Concord, OH). The Barons record now stands at 5-6.
