Ohio High School Lacrosse - Newark can't get by Johnstown-Monroe
April 30, 2022: Newark, OH 43055 Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH), 5-4 in a non-league battle.
The Johnnies now have a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Buckeye Valley for a Region 7 battle on Monday, May 2. Johnstown-Monroe will clash with a Barons squad coming off a 20-3 league loss to John Glenn (New Concord, OH). The Barons record now stands at 5-6.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Lincoln Golden Lions (Gahanna, OH) in a Region 3 battle, on Tuesday, May 3. Newark will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record. The Golden Lions come into the battle with a 4-10 record after their 16-2 league win over Canal Winchester (Canal Winchester, OH).
