Wisconsin High School Softball - Lake Mills holds off Columbus
April 30, 2024: Lake Mills, WI 53551 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Lake Mills L-Cats (Lake Mills, WI) and the visiting Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, WI), witnessed Lake Mills's softball squad tip Columbus by a count of 5-3.
The L-Cats now sport a 15-2 record. They play next when they host Lakeside Lutheran for a Capitol - North match on Thursday, May 2. Lake Mills will face a Warriors squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Lodi (Lodi, WI). The Warriors record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, Columbus moves to 3-11 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Lomira (Lomira, WI) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Monday, May 6. The Lions go into the match with a record of 14-4. Lomira lost 5-4 in their recent non-league match against St. Mary's Springs (Fond du Lac, WI)
