Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Storm now sport a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fuquay - Varina for a Greater Neuse River 4A challenge on Friday, May 3. Willow Spring will face a Bengals squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Clayton (Clayton, NC). The Bengals record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, Corinth Holders falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Pirates host Clayton (Clayton, NC) to face the Comets in a Greater Neuse River 4A challenge on Friday, May 3. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 12-7. Clayton lost 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Garner (Garner, NC)
