The North Stanly Comets soccer team (New London, NC), was overwhelmed 6-1 in Wednesday's league match with the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC)

With the triumph, Mount Pleasant moves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host West Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to meet the Wolverines in a non-league match on Thursday, May 1. The Wolverines come into the match with a record of 5-11. West Cabarrus lost 7-0 in their recent league match against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)
