California High School Baseball - Antioch nips Pittsburg
April 30, 2026: Antioch, CA 94509 The Antioch Panthers (Antioch, CA) baseball got by the visiting Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, CA), 6-5 in Thursday's league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freedom for a Bay Valley challenge on Monday, May 4. Antioch will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Skyline (Oakland, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 12-7.
With the defeat, Pittsburg drops to 12-9 on the year. The Pirates travel to Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA) to clash with the Monarchs in a non-league outing on Saturday, May 2. The Monarchs come into the outing with a record of 6-15. Mt. Eden won 12-0 in their recent league outing against Tennyson (Hayward, CA)
