The Ferndale Wildcats softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Trinity Wolves to 5 in the Wildcats non-league win on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Fork for a Little 7 battle on Tuesday, May 5. Ferndale will confront a Cubs team coming off a 12-9 league win over St. Bernard's (Eureka, CA). The Cubs record now stands at 14-7.

With the loss, Trinity moves to 9-12 on the season. The Wolves travel to Modoc (Alturas, CA) to confront the Braves in a Shasta Cascade battle on Saturday, May 2. The Braves come into the battle with a record of 5-12. Modoc lost 14-3 in their recent league battle against Weed (Weed, CA)
