The Palma Chieftains softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Monterey Toreadors to 7 in the Chieftains league win on Thursday.

The Chieftains now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Watsonville for a PCAL - Gabilan battle on Tuesday, May 5. Palma will confront a Wildcatz team coming off a 15-5 league loss to Hollister (Hollister, CA). The Wildcatz record now stands at 2-15.

With the loss, Monterey moves to 12-8 on the season. The Toreadors host Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA) to confront the Breakers in a PCAL - Gabilan battle on Tuesday, May 5. The Breakers come into the battle with a record of 5-15. Pacific Grove lost 4-1 in their recent league battle against Salinas (Salinas, CA)
