Crestwood Knights (Sumter, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lamar Silver Foxes (Lamar, SC), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Manning for a AAA Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 5.

With the loss, Lamar falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Silver foxes travel to Timmonsville (Timmonsville, SC) to battle the Whirlwinds in a A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Whirlwinds enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Timmonsville lost 17-0 in their recent league challenge against Green Sea Floyds (Green Sea, SC)
