Louisiana High School Softball - Salmen bounces Independence
April 4, 2022: Independence, LA 70443 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA) and the host Independence Tigers (Independence, LA), witnessed Salmen's softball squad prevail over Independence by a count of 22-8.
The Spartans now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Franklinton for a 4A District 8 match on Tuesday, April 5. Salmen will meet a Demons squad coming off a 8-6 league loss to Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA). The Demons record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Independence moves to 0-6 on the season. The Tigers host Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA) to meet the Lumberjacks in a 3A District 8 match on Thursday, April 7. The Lumberjacks go into the match with a record of 0-4. Bogalusa lost 17-0 in their recent league match against Albany (Albany, LA)
