Kentucky High School Softball - Mt. Vernon bounces Fern Creek
April 4, 2023: Louisville, KY 40291 Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fern Creek Tigers (Louisville, KY), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Walton Beach for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. Mt. Vernon will face a Vikings squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Madison Central (Richmond, KY). The Vikings record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Fern Creek falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Rootstown (Rootstown, OH) to face the Rovers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 5. The Rovers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
