Illinois High School Softball - Pittsfield bounces Seymour
April 4, 2024: Payson, IL 62360 Pittsfield Saukees (Pittsfield, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Seymour Indians (Payson, IL), 16-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Saukees now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Jacksonville for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. Pittsfield will face a Crimsons squad coming off a 17-1 league win over Lanphier (Springfield, IL). The Crimsons record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Seymour falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL) to face the Mustangs in a West Central challenge on Friday, April 5. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Mendon Unity won 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL)
