In Friday's league bout, the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC), by a tally of 10-4.

Next up, the Panthers encounter the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) in a Rocky River 2A/3A bout, on Tuesday, April 8. Piedmont will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Bearcats enter the bout with a 3-13 record after their 3-2 league loss to Central Academy (Monroe, NC).
