Texas High School Baseball - Lamar prevails Sam Houston
April 4, 2025: Arlington, TX 76014 The Lamar Vikings baseball team scored 15 runs and held the host Sam Houston Texans to 6 in the Vikings league win on Friday.
The Vikings now hold a 10-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arlington for a 6A Region I District 8 test on Tuesday, April 8. Lamar will play a Colts team coming off a 3-1 league win over Bowie (Arlington, TX). The Colts record now stands at 11-10.
With the defeat, Sam Houston drops to 6-18 on the year. The Texans host Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX) to play the Gophers in a 6A Region I District 8 test on Tuesday, April 8. The Gophers go into the test with a record of 3-17. Grand Prairie lost 6-1 in their recent league test against South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX)
