The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions baseball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Valley Vista Monsoon to 3 in the Mountain Lions non-league win on Friday.

The Mountain Lions now hold a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they host Pinnacle for a 6A Desert Valley test on Tuesday, April 8. Mountain Ridge will play a Pioneers team coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-7.

With the defeat, Valley Vista drops to 6-10 on the year. The Monsoon travel to West Point (Avondale, AZ) to play the Dragons in a 6A West Valley test on Tuesday, April 8. The Dragons go into the test with a record of 7-9.
