The Union Area Scotties softball team scored 20 runs and held the visiting Bishop Canevin Crusaders to 0 in the Scotties league win on Friday.

The Scotties now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sharon for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 8. Union Area will confront a Tigers team coming off a 1-0 league win over Hickory (Hermitage, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Bishop Canevin moves to 1-4 on the season. The Crusaders host Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA) to confront the in a non-league battle on Monday, April 7. The come into the battle with a record of 5-0. Sewickley Academy won 17-2 in their recent league battle against Rochester (Rochester, PA)
