In Saturday's non-league test, the Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL) softball squad overwhelmed the host Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL), by a tally of 15-3.

Next, the Black Bears clash with the Bob Jones Patriots (Madison, AL) in a 7A Area 8 test, on Monday, April 6. Austin will attempt to advance on its 25-13 season record. The Patriots go into the test with a 7-18 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Boaz (Boaz, AL).

The Patriots (9-15) will now prepare for their test against Madison Academy (Madison, AL). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Madison Academy was routed by Lawrence County (Moulton, AL), 4-2, in a non-league test.
