Virginia High School Soccer - Riverbend nudges Massaponax
April 5, 2022: Fredericksburg, VA 22407 Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Massaponax Panthers (Spotsylvania, VA), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Bears confront the Forest Park Bruins (Woodbridge, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 6. Riverbend will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 2-0 league win over Woodbridge (Woodbridge, VA).
The Panthers now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Brooke Point for a Commonwealth challenge on Friday, April 8. Massaponax will confront a Black Hawks team coming off a 4-3 league win over Stafford (Falmouth, VA). The Black Hawks record now stands at 3-1.
