April 5, 2023: Walterboro, SC 29488 Spectators at Wednesday's league battle between the James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) and the host Colleton County Cougars (Walterboro, SC), saw James Island's baseball squad beat Colleton County by a margin of 8-6.
Coming up next, the Trojans play the Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 6. James Island will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to St. Francis de Sales (Toledo, OH).
The Cougars now sport a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Benedictine for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 6. Colleton County will play a Cadets squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Dreher (Columbia, SC). The Cadets record now stands at 15-8.
