Spectators at Wednesday's league battle between the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) and the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw Alexander Central's baseball squad beat Ashe County by a margin of 9-5.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a battle, on Tuesday, April 18. Alexander Central will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 8-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).
