April 5, 2023: Westfield, NJ 07090 Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Blue Devils now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Union for a Watchung - American challenge on Thursday, April 6. Westfield will battle a Farmers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Governor Livingston (Berkeley Heights, NJ). The Farmers record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Governor Livingston falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Summit (Summit, NJ) to battle the Hilltoppers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Summit lost 15-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ)
