April 5, 2024: Zebulon, GA 30295 Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), 3-2 in a league test.
With the win, Mary Persons upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Bulldogs host Peach County (Fort Valley, GA) to battle the Trojans in a 3A Area 2 test on Wednesday, April 10. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 17-7. Peach County lost 8-7 in their recent league test against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA)
With the defeat, Pike County falls to 4-16 on the season. The Pirates host Jackson (Jackson, GA) to battle the Red Devils in a 3A Area 2 test on Tuesday, April 9. The Red Devils come into the test with a record of 7-12. Jackson lost 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Blountstown (Blountstown, FL)
