Arkansas High School Softball - Magnolia holds off Ashdown
April 5, 2024: Ashdown, AR 71822 Magnolia Panthers (Magnolia, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arkadelphia for a 4A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Magnolia will battle a Badgers squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to De Queen (De Queen, AR). The Badgers record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Ashdown falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Hope (Hope, AR) to battle the Bobcats in a 4A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 8-9. Hope won 15-7 in their recent league challenge against Camden Fairview (Camden, AR)
