April 5, 2024: North Caldwell, NJ 07006 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ) and the host West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ), saw Cedar Grove's softball squad nip West Essex by a count of 7-2.
The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cranford for a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. Cedar Grove will face a Cougars squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Brearley (Kenilworth, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, West Essex falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ) to face the Golden Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, April 6.
