The Lovejoy Leopards routed the visiting Sherman Bearcats softball squad by a count of 15-0 in Friday's league battle.

The Leopards (15-10) will now prepare for their battle against Denison (Denison, TX). The Yellow Jackets go into the 5A Region II District 13 battle with a 15-11 record. In their last battle, Denison was routed by McKinney North (McKinney, TX), 9-8, in a league battle.

The Bearcats now sport a 12-15 record. They play next when they host Melissa for a 5A Region II District 13 battle on Tuesday, April 9. Sherman will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Greenville (Greenville, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 24-2.
