April 5, 2024: Suffolk, VA 23434 Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Bears now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kellam for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6.
With the loss, Nansemond River falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Glen Allen won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA)
