Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Maine West Warriors (Des Plaines, IL) and the host St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL), observed Maine West's volleyball team hold off St. Francis by a tally of 2-1.

The Warriors (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Latin (Chicago, IL). The Romans enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Latin was tipped by Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Spartans meet the Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 5. St. Francis will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 2-1 league win over Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL).
