New York High School Softball - Newark knocked off by Wayland-Cohocton
April 5, 2025: Wayland, NY 14572 In Saturday's non-league test, the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles (Wayland, NY) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Newark Reds (Newark, NY), by a count of 16-1.
Next, the Eagles meet the Hornell Red Raiders (Hornell, NY) in a Livingston County Division I test, on Monday, April 7. Wayland-Cohocton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Red Raiders go into the test with a 1-0 record after their 5-1 non-league win over York (Retsof, NY).
The Reds (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Waterloo (Waterloo, NY). The Tigers go into the Finger Lakes East test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Waterloo toppled Romulus (Romulus, NY), 12-7, in a non-league test.
