April 6, 2023: Northborough, MA 01532 St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Algonquin Regional Titans (Northborough, MA), 6-5 in a non-league test.
With the win, St. John's upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pioneers travel to St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA) to battle the Eagles in a Catholic test on Monday, April 10. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-0. St. John's Prep won 7-3 in their recent non-league test against Walpole (Walpole, MA)
With the defeat, Algonquin Regional falls to 0-1 on the season. The Titans host Nashoba Regional (Bolton, MA) to battle the Chieftains in a non-league test on Monday, April 10. The Chieftains come into the test with a record of 0-2. Nashoba Regional lost 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Westborough (Westborough, MA)
