Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers (Bridgeport, CT), 10-0 in a league test.

With the win, Staples upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Wreckers host Warde (Fairfield, CT) to play the Mustangs in a Fairfield County battle on Monday, April 10. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 1-1. Warde lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Xavier (Middletown, CT)

The Hilltoppers now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stratford for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 12.
