New Jersey High School Softball - Bound Brook bounces Rutgers Prep
April 6, 2023: Somerset, NJ 08873 Bound Brook Crusaders (Bound Brook, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rutgers Prep Argonauts (Somerset, NJ), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Crusaders now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Union Catholic for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. Bound Brook will face a Vikings squad coming off a 21-0 league win over Plainfield (Plainfield, NJ). The Vikings record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Rutgers Prep falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Argonauts travel to Manville (Manville, NJ) to face the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Manville lost 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Mount St. Mary Academy (Watchung, NJ)
