Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tornadoes now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mt. Zion for a Apollo challenge on Saturday, April 8. Taylorville will face a Braves squad coming off a 8-4 league win over Effingham (Effingham, IL). The Braves record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, MacArthur falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Springfield (Springfield, IL) to face the Senators in a Central State Eight challenge on Friday, April 7.
