April 6, 2024: Coalmont, TN 37313 The Grundy County Yellowjackets crushed the visiting Whitwell Tigers baseball team by a count of 11-3 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Community for a 2A District 7 bout on Monday, April 8.
Next, the Tigers face the South Pittsburg Pirates (South Pittsburg, TN) in a 1A District 6 bout, on Monday, April 8. Whitwell will attempt to move on its 5-9 season record. The Pirates enter the bout with a 3-8 record after their 10-4 non-league win over White County (Sparta, TN).
