The Bel Air Highlanders nipped the visiting Hanks Knights softball squad by a final score of 14-13 in Saturday's league battle.

The Highlanders (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against Ysleta (El Paso, TX). The Indians go into the 5A Region I District 2 battle with a 28-3 record. In their last battle, Ysleta was edged by Parkland (El Paso, TX), 6-5, in a league battle.

The Knights now possess a 14-17 record. They play next when they travel to Horizon for a 5A Region I District 2 battle on Wednesday, April 10. Hanks will meet a Scorpions squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Scorpions record now stands at 9-17.
