Illinois High School Softball - Fieldcrest tipped by Putnam County
April 6, 2024: Minonk, IL 61760 The Putnam County Panthers softball team scored 5 runs and limited the host Fieldcrest Knights to 3 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Putnam County moves its record to 5-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to Woodland (Streator, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a Tri-County game on Tuesday, April 9. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 5-3. Woodland won 5-0 in their recent non-league game against Clifton Central (Clifton, IL)
In their next game, the Knights clash with the Heyworth Hornets (Heyworth, IL) in a Heart of Illinois game, on Wednesday, April 10. Fieldcrest will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Hornets come into the game with a 6-2 record after their 14-4 league win over LeRoy (LeRoy, IL).
