The Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) baseball trounced the visiting Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV), 9-2 in Monday's league challenge.

The Knights now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Fairmont Senior for a Big Ten challenge on Wednesday, April 8. Preston will clash with a Polar Bears team coming off a 6-4 league loss to Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Polar Bears record now stands at 1-6.

With the defeat, Elkins drops to 4-4 on the season. The Tigers host Lewis County (Weston, WV) to battle the Minutemen in a Big Ten outing on Tuesday, April 7. The Minutemen come into the outing with a record of 2-6. Lewis County lost 15-3 in their recent league outing against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV)
