Rhode Island High School Baseball - Smithfield can't hold off Cranston East
April 7, 2022: Cranston, RI 02910 In Thursday's league game, the host Cranston East Thunderbolts baseball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Smithfield Sentinels.
The Thunderbolts (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI). The Hawks go into the State Championship Division game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Bishop Hendricken tipped Coventry (Coventry, RI), 7-5, in a league game.
The Sentinels (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Falcons go into the State Championship Division game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Cranston West was edged by Pilgrim (Warwick, RI), 10-2, in a league game.
