Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 19-2 in a league test.

The Mavericks now have a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Worthington Kilbourne for a non-league test on Saturday, April 9. Marvin Ridge will face a Wolves squad coming off a 16-2 league loss to Upper Arlington (Columbus, OH). The Wolves record now stands at 3-5.

In their next game, the Pirates face the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) in a Southern Carolina/Rocky River test, on Monday, April 11. Porter Ridge will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 5-6 record after their 19-1 league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).
