Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Camp Point Central Panthers (Camp Point, IL), 9-8 in a league test.

With the win, Mendon Unity upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Palmyra (Palmyra, MO) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league game on Monday, April 10. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 0-5. Palmyra lost 13-1 in their recent non-league game against Macon (Macon, MO)

The Panthers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL). The Saukees go into the non-league game with a 7-2 record. In their last game, Pittsfield tipped Louisiana (Louisiana, MO), 16-2, in a non-league game.
