Castle Knights (Newburgh, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN), 17-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roncalli for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. Castle will battle a Royals squad coming off a 3-3 non-league Columbus North (Columbus, IN). The Royals record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, North Central falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN) to battle the Braves in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Terre Haute South Vigo lost 11-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Cascade (Clayton, IN)
