Roncalli Royals (Indianapolis, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Castle Knights (Newburgh, IN), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Royals now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. Roncalli will battle a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 17-1 non-league loss to Castle (Newburgh, IN). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Castle falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN) to battle the Braves in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Terre Haute South Vigo lost 11-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Cascade (Clayton, IN)
