Virginia High School Soccer - Lord Botetourt knocks off Abingdon
April 7, 2025: Daleville, VA 24083 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) and the visiting Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA), saw Lord Botetourt's soccer squad triumph over Abingdon by a score of 8-1.
The Cavaliers (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Golden Eagles enter the Blue Ridge battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Staunton River was overwhelmed by Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 5-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Falcons confront the John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA) in a Mountain 7 battle, on Tuesday, April 8. Abingdon will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 4-3 record after their 5-0 league loss to Gate City (Gate City, VA).
