Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), 7-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Abilene improves its record to 15-9 on the year. The Eagles host Legacy (Wichita Falls, TX) to clash with the Leopards in a 5A Region I District 4 test on Friday, April 10. The Leopards go into the test with a record of 3-14. Legacy lost 29-5 in their recent league test against Wylie (Abilene, TX)

The Cougars (11-10) will now prepare for their test against Memorial (Wichita Falls, TX). The Mavericks go into the 5A Region I District 4 test with a 9-13 record. In their last test, Memorial was routed by Paradise (Paradise, TX), 6-4, in a non-league test.
