Florida High School Softball - Taylor County can't get by Lafayette
April 8, 2022: Mayo, FL 32066 In Friday's non-league contest, the Lafayette Hornets (Mayo, FL) softball team held off the visiting Taylor County Bulldogs (Perry, FL), by a margin of 6-5.
With the triumph, Lafayette moves its record to 9-4 on the year. The Hornets travel to Fort White (Fort White, FL) to play the Indians in a 1A District 6 contest on Tuesday, April 12. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 7-4. Fort White won 9-8 in their recent non-league contest against Madison County (Madison, FL)
In their next game, the Bulldogs play the Aucilla Christian Warriors (Monticello, FL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 11. Taylor County will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 7-2 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Meadowbrook Academy (Ocala, FL).
