The Northampton Yellowjackets baseball team (Eastville, VA), was overwhelmed 19-9 in Monday's non-league outing with the host Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA)

The Blue Devils now hold a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to King William for a Tidewater outing on Tuesday, April 9. Mathews will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Essex (Tappahannock, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-0.

Next, the Yellowjackets confront the Surry County Cougars (Dendron, VA) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, April 9. Northampton will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Cougars go into the outing with a 4-1 record after their 9-0 league win over Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA).
