April 9, 2024: Lordsburg, NM 88045 The Lordsburg Mavericks the visiting Mescalero Apache Chiefs softball squad by a final score of 5-1 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Mavericks (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Tularosa (Tularosa, NM). The Wildcats go into the A/2A District 3 battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Tularosa was routed by West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NM), 9-2, in a non-league battle.
The Chiefs now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Deming for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 13. Mescalero Apache will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-12.
