Purvis Tornadoes (Purvis, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tornadoes now own a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Poplarville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. Purvis will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 11-8.

With the loss, Stringer falls to 15-5 on the campaign. The Red devils host Seminary (Seminary, MS) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 12-10.
