The Independence Blue Devils baseball team scored 19 runs and held the visiting Brooklyn Hurricanes to 2 in the Blue Devils league win on Wednesday.

The Blue Devils now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Midview for a non-league test on Thursday, April 10. Independence will play a Middies team coming off a 10-2 league loss to Avon Lake (Avon Lake, OH). The Middies record now stands at 2-5.

With the defeat, Brooklyn drops to 0-5 on the year. The Hurricanes host Open Door Christian (Elyria, OH) to play the Patriots in a non-league test on Thursday, April 10.
