Cheney Tech Chargers (Manchester, CT) fans left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Vinal RVT Hawks (Middletown, CT), 7-2 in a league match.

With the triumph, Cheney Tech advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Chargers travel to Manchester (Manchester, CT) to battle the Red Hawks in a non-league match on Thursday, April 10. The Red Hawks come into the match with a record of 0-1. Manchester lost 5-0 in their recent non-league match against Berlin (Berlin, CT)

The Hawks now have a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Platt RVT for a Connecticut Technical - West match on Thursday, April 10. Vinal RVT will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 14-5 non-league loss to Bunnell (Stratford, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 0-2.
