Kentucky High School Softball - Martin County bounces Betsy Layne
April 9, 2025: Betsy Layne, KY 41605 The Martin County Cardinals softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Betsy Layne Bobcats to 8 in the Cardinals non-league win on Wednesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magoffin County for a District 57 battle on Thursday, April 10. Martin County will confront a Hornets team coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Perry County Central (Hazard, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Betsy Layne moves to 4-3 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Cordia (Hazard, KY) to confront the Lions in a non-league battle on Friday, April 11. The Lions come into the battle with a record of 0-2.
